This is me.
(selfies and I don't always get along, but here it is)
I'm not always good talking about myself, however an introduction in who is operating the keyboard in this venture is most likely a good idea.
So, here goes ...
I am a person who loves to write.
Guess that much must be obvious, given the fact that I am giving birth to a blog in order to be able to write again.
I am a person who loves music.
Pretty much all kinds of music. Just about everything from Classical to Classic Rock to Christian music can be found on my playlist. Musicals - live or animated - bring joy as I sing along. The only type of music I don't regularly listen to on my radio is Country. Which, for a girl who lives in Oklahoma, is kinda weird, I know.
I am a person who loves to cook.
I really do. New recipes and old favorites, I enjoy putting both together either in preparation for the week or to share with family and friends. My kitchen is one of my favorite places in the house and the "Yummy" board on my Pinterest account is one of my favorite places to stockpile recipes to try. Although this is not going to be a blog about cooking (I leave that to the experts), I do reserve the right to write from time to time about something I have either made or attempted to make.
I am a person who loves to read.
I have a Kindle and I love it. However I also love the feel of turning a page, smelling the paper, holding the weight of a real life printed text. Whether it is fantasy, fiction, non-fiction, or cookbook ... what? You did read the previous paragraph, right? ... I generally enjoy spending time in someone else's world.
I am a person who loves to watch television.
I am a confirmed Fan, yet not a fanatic. I simply enjoy watching a good, well-scripted show that makes me laugh, makes me cry, absorbs me into it's story and allows me to feel and think. Not gonna lie ... there will likely be TV talk showing up in this little blog of mine. I should probably post a list of shows I watch, just to warn you. ;)
Simply put, I am me.
I have an excellent imagination. And with this blog, I would like to invite you into my little home to chat or simply sit a spell. By that, I mean comment or simply lurk and read. Either way ... I welcome you.
Of course ... there IS a cast of characters that will likely pop up from time to time. Let me introduce you:
There is my little home.
The door is always open (even though it doesn't look like it here). It is still a work in progress but it is cozy and it is where I entertain friends or hide like a hermit, depending on my mood and need.
There is my little angelpup.
His name is actually Thankful Castiel. Thanksgiving 2013, I rescued him from a life of breeding and, in return, he rescued me right back from despair and loneliness. Period. More on him later. ;)
There is my sweet, little red Baby.
She's a 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix and she is my escape and my salvation. She takes me to work and she takes me to freedom. And then she takes me home. Can anything be better?
This is my favorite cuppa and my two favorite teas.
The three of them keep me sane in a world that revolves on coffee.
There is my favorite little B&B in the Ozarks.
A respite and a place of love and family. Road trips there can never come too soon and can never last long enough.
While there are more, this is a good start. A place to begin.
Road trips are always exciting ... the planning ... the doing ... the returning ... and the memories to be shared. They are one of my favorite things.
In my mind, writing follows the same road map. Won't you travel with me?
